In this role you support public entities on complex state and federal eminent domain, real estate, and land acquisition matters. You’ll work within a team to prepare high-stakes litigation across California and help shape trial strategy. You address challenging infrastructure-related disputes and contribute to the firm’s reputation through rigorous analysis and persuasive advocacy. Responsabilités
- Represent public entities and other clients in eminent domain, real estate, and land acquisition litigation
- Handle high-impact litigation related to public infrastructure projects
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions
- Engage in substantive law and motion practice
- Build cases for trial, including evidence development and litigation strategy
- Interview witnesses and take and defend depositions
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well-reasoned written work
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in a team-oriented litigation environment
Principales exigences
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- 3–7 years of litigation experience
- Required experience in eminent domain, real estate, or public entity land acquisition litigation
- Substantive experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions
- Prior experience preparing cases for trial, including evidence development and deposition practice
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong analytical, creative thinking, research, and writing skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in teams and contribute to firm culture
- Strong work ethic and interest in elevating the firm’s reputation and brand
